Inventory Report for Saturday, August 13th

We inventoried  three nests, # 23, 24 and 25.

Nest # 23 was found by Kathy Murray and Veronica L'Allier. It had 112 eggs and hatched in 58 days -

We had problems with roots and pink spots on the eggs.

Nest # 24  was found by Nancy Shenton, Ron and Kathy Chamberlain on 6/13. It was was washed out and moved on 6/19 by Karen Sewell and Sandy MacCoss. 107 eggs in the nest.

Nest # 25 was found by Valerie and Mark Doane and Susie Firesheets. It had 100 eggs and hatched in 53 days.

Additional Inventories Scheduled for Sunday, August, 14th at 8:30 AM

We will Inventory nests 26 & 33 on Sunday, August 14th at 8:30 AM.They are located between the 2nd and 3rd houses north of the Pelicans Nest so boardwalk 7 is the closest. Both nests were found by Karen Sewell.

Nests 19 & 20 were both at 64 days. Deb Wiehn joined us for the inventory of nest 19 as it was found by her and Christine Miniman. Judy Morr was the prober. It hatched in 61 days and there were 85 eggs in the nest.

Nest # 20 was Terry Fansler,  Gloria Reynold and Sarah Quinn's nest with Bill Middleton finding the eggs. The nest also went out in 61 days with 105 eggs in the nest. Terry and Sarah were at the inventory

Scheduled Inventories 

We will be inventorying nests 24 and 25 tomorrow, August 13 at 8:30 AM starting with #24 at the end of zone 1 and then  #25  on zone 3 north of boardwalk 5.

.On Monday August 15th we will be inventorying #'s 29, 30 and wild nest 53. # 29 is next to the vehicle entrance near boardwalk 1and 30 and 53 are on zone 2 south of boardwalk 6.

Mike Vinson, Gary Holtz & the other zone 3 Wednesday walkers found nest #27. Bill Nelson found the eggs. It hatched in 47 days and there were 107 eggs in the nest.

We will inventory nest #24 on Saturday, August 13th at 8:30 AM. It is located several hundred yards south of boardwalk 9 just past the old pier.
