Nest #2 was found by Bill Greubel. The nest had 147 eggs . 5 were broken inside the nest. It hatched in 61 days.

There were 4 crab holes and a crab inside the nest at inventory. It is believed crab predation accounts for the remaining 12 eggs.

Inventory of Nest 5 Scheduled

We will inventory Nest 5 on Monday morning at 8:30am.  Nest 5 is located south of Boardwalk 9.

Inventory of Nest 2 Scheduled

We will inventory Nest 2 on Sunday morning at 8:30am.  Nest 2 is located 100 yds. south of Boardwalk 2 on Zone 3.  This nest was found by Bill Greubel on May 19 and hatched in 61 days.

Nest #1 was found by Joleen Ardaiolo, Alison Bowers, Kathy Noel & Sandy MacCoss. The nest had 110 eggs . It hatched in 61 days.

First 2018 Nest Inventory Scheduled for Wednesday, July 18th

Our first inventory of 2018 will take place on Wednesday, July, 18th. at 8:30 am. Nest 3 is located just south of boardwalk 1. This nest was found by The Carters, The Doanes and Lisa Hand on May 20th. Observers are welcome.
