Inventory of Nest # 63

We had beautiful weather this morning for the inventory of the rest of Nest # 63, the lucky 56.  Marsha Papanck and Joyce & Tom Pinckney found the crawl. Judy Morr found the  eggs . The dune collapsed on 8/30 and Jen Gibson, Mark & Valerie  Doanes and Liz Devens moved the remaining 56 eggs of the 93 laid to its final nest. It hatched in 49 days.

Inventory - Sunday, September 6th at 8:30 AM

  We will inventory Nest 63 located south of boardwalk 5 on Zone 3.  This nest was found by Joyce & Tom Pinckney and Marsha Papanek on July 16.th. Due to a dune collapse this nest and its remaining 56 eggs was relocated to its present site.

Saturday Hatchlings Emerge

When we softened the sand on nest #63, one baby poked his head out, then 11 more followed.So we had the pleasure of helping 12 hatchlings safely to the water.  A few vacationers had the thrill of seeing their first babies.

Nest #55 - Inventory Report

Nest #55 was found by Sandy MacCoss and Elison Atkinson. Sandy found the eggs. It hatched in 61 days.

nest # 60 was found by Kathy Rigtrup and Charlene Barker. Tim Morawski found the eggs. It hatched in 52 days.
