Nests 56 & 57 Inventoried on Monday, September 12th

Nests 56 &57 were inventoried on Monday, September 12th. 

Nest 56 was found by Bob Mason & Pat Backstrom with Bill Greubel finding the 117 eggs. They hatched in49 days.

There were 32 eggs unaccounted for due to predation by raccoons. We used the number of eggs in the relocated nest count in the report to DNR as they tell us to do.

Nest # 57 was found by Kathy Maher & Kathy Rigtrup with Sandy MacCoss finding the eggs. The 125 eggs hatched in 48 days.

We will inventory nest 58 on Wednesday, September 14th at 8:30 AM. The nest is located 50 yards north of the vehicle entrance on zone 1. This is a few hundred yards south of boardwalk 9.

We will inventory nests 56 & 57 at 8:30 on Monday, September 12th. We'll start with nest 56 which is located 50 yards south of boardwalk 6. We'll then move to nest 57 which is located 50 yards north of boardwalk 1.

Nest #54 was inventoried on Thursday, September 8th. The nest was found by Joyce & Tom Pinckney & Marsha Papanek. Bill Middleton found the 118 eggs which hatched in 46 days.

Nest 54 boiled yesterday so we will be inventorying it on Thursday. Sept. 8th at 8:30 AM. It is located just south of  boardwalk 1.

Nest # 47 was found by Catherine Scully, Sara Klauber,and Jackie DePalma with Bill Greubel finding the eggs. The 93 eggs hatched in 56 days
